Before Shower Workout – Try At Home, No Gym

If you think you need to spend hours in the gym to a good fitness fix, you’re wrong. A fast, high intensity before shower workout at home is ideal for working your whole body and getting your fitness levels up.

Why Before Shower Workouts Work…

If you need any convincing, high intensity exercises are the name of the game at the moment. If you look at sprinters, for example, they are ripped and predominantly do explosive, hard work but for very short periods of time. And look at the result. They look great.

Research has also been done on whether HIIT sessions are better than steady state cardio sessions and the results are not 100% clear. However, there are some studies which show that they are more effective.

More effective or not, they are definitely easier to fit into┬ásomeone’s life who is time poor. They take only a short amount of time to do and can be done anywhere, no equipment required.

Best Moves to Use

You really can use any kind of movement in these workouts. Sit ups, jump squats, press ups, lunges, planks, etc. Any basic move is hard when you do it right. Try doing fast and high lunge jumps for 30 seconds and see how hard it is to maintain. Here are a few other workout ideas to try.

Post Workout Recovery

Once you have completed one of these before shower workouts, the next thing is to shower! After that you’ll want to have a bit of a protein shake to help rebuild those muscles. If you are not used to doing high intensity workouts like this you will definitely feel it the next day.

I’d recommend having a protein shake for size and strength as the workout isn’t a long one so you won’t have used that much glucose up, so probably best to avoid the high sugar drinks if your goal is fat burning.

Hope that helps and if you have any questions just drop me a message or leave a comment.
