USN are a very reputable company and they say that this product is ideal for anytime of the day and before, during or after exercise…I personally find that hard to believe to let’s take a look at this anabolic stack to see how it stacks up…

The Protein

They really have thrown a lot of different proteins into this mix with this one. From whey concentrate, isolate, micellar casein to soy protein isolate. It’s all in there. This offers a good blend of different types of protein as well as good mix of fast to slow digesting proteins. Ideal if you have worked your muscles very hard in the gym and need the release over a long period of time.

There is a question mark over the use of soy protein. Some people say that it’s good and others say that they wouldn’t take it because there is too much estrogen in it and can cause hormonal imbalances in men. It’s something that is not fully researched or understood yet but it’s certainly a consideration that you must think about.

The Carbohydrates

The USN Muscle Fuel Anabolic shake is another one which has a very high carb content, much like the Maximuscle Cyclone protein powder. Now, there is nothing wrong with this but I do believe that most people out there aren’t working out hard enough to warrant this ratio of carbs to protein and would probably benefit from something which had a higher level of protein in it.

The kind of guys that use this are serious bodybuilders who have been training for years and work extremely hard, many sessions a week. It’s not for the kind of guy who does a 45 minute workout 3 times a week to stay in shape, in my opinion. Anytime Day or Night

Now, going back to USN’s claim that this is for anytime of the day, before, during or after exercise. I just don’t know if this is the kind of thing that I would want for breakfast. The carbs are very high and it would really spike your blood sugar levels without the use for that sugar. After a high intensity workout I think is the ideal time for this kind of shake. I guess they just want people to take as much of it as possible…

Conclusion

As I mentioned earlier in the post, I think this protein powder is suited more towards the elite level performer. Someone who is working very hard and has many years experience in the gym or in their chosen sport. For the newcomer and mid-level athlete I’m just not sure they will use the high level of sugars and carbs in there in the way that the manufacturers intended.
